One of the best parts of having a b&b is meeting our honeymooners! Meet "Mr. and Mrs." Chris (and Lori) Rochester who were married December 27, 2002. Eight years later, one little girl and little boy later, they visited us again. Marriage must agree with both of them because it is hard to tell the 2002 pictures from the 2011 pictures!

They planned to live happily ever after and I just happen to think......they will!

One of the best things about having a bed and breakfast is the friends one makes. Karen and Scott have stayed with us 4 times. This time they visited Wills Creek Vineyard and brought Carl and me a muscatine candle that filled the lodge with a warm aroma for breakfast.

Next to our guests, I guess General Lee is the next in line for Carl's pancakes. He loves them.

I wanted my grandchildren to remember their grandmother was from the south so I named Carl's donkeys (male) General Lee, (three females) Miss Dixie, Miss Scarlett and Miss Savannah.

Then there's the chickens! The chickens (to the left) have feathers on their legs and feet. They are very pet-friendly chickens.

Harmony at it's best. These animals have it made. They live at a bed and breakfast!

Then he pulled out a little green soldier and told me he had left two in the Treehouse. We built the Treehouse for the young-at-heart. Jeremy certainly fits that description! Snow Again January 10-11, 2011

Can you believe this? We had snow on Christmas Day 2010 and again on January 10! This is amazing for Alabama. This time we had about 4 1/2 inches and we can say we had a "blanket" of snow. For those of you who have visited the secret before, this is a picture going down our driveway! We could not even see our road. The entrance gate may be barely seen at the bottom.

It's been great being snowed in! It's like living in a snow globe because we can look out from the lodge and see snow falling in the valley, on the lake and on the mountains! I am in awe at the wonderful of it all.

The boys played for hours in the boxes. It was a fort and later a spaceship.

As some of our guests know our son-in-law plays the keyboard in the praise and worship band, Mercy Me. Their beloved song, "I Can Only Imagine" has touched hearts for years. This year Jim (and Misti, our daughter) invited us to attend the American Music Awards which was held in Los Angeles, CA November 21st. Mercy Me was nominated and won in their category! What a wonderful night this was. We were on T.V., too. Amazing luck. We actually walked on the red carpet and had our picture made with Jim and Misti.

We closed the B & B. Now you guys know why!
